Rtapalli Vidyapitha - a free residential Oriya-language high school - was established on 15th August, 1997, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary
of India's independence. Modeled on India's rich Gurukula tradition, Rtapalli stands on the two pillars of Rta (Truth)
and Shraddha (Love).
It aims to create a nucleus of students brought up with academic excellence and strong social commitment. In the ambiance of a Gurukula with modern technology, Rtapalli intends to shape
the builders who will shape our nation and the world beyond.
To have a glimpse into Rtapalli, please listen to a line from the Oriya poet
Pallikabi Nandakishore Bal on Nation Building as spoken to the Rtashrees by our Chief Speaker in Rtotsava2008.
Academics: In addition to Orissa BSE curriculum, students (Class VI to Class X) currently learn
advanced topics in mathematics (calculus), computer programming
(C++, Matlab), physics, chemistry and biology. Students attend Mathematics
Olympiad classes at the Institute of Mathematics, Bhubaneswar.
School curriculum includes Odissi dance and Indian classical
music(Vocal, Tabla).

Recent Developments: Bibudha Parasar, in the top 300 national list,
has appeared at the next level examination for selection to the Indian Chemistry Olympiad team,
2010.
Four Rtashrees, Bishnu Gopal Dash, Sashi Bhusan Pattnaik, Soumya Ranjan Ray and Sourav
Purohit, are among the 30 selected students (Class IX-XII) from Orissa to participate in RMO and take the National Mathematics Olympiad Examination,
2010. This is a repeat performance of Rtapalli after Bibudha Parasar, Chinmay Behera, Partha Sarathi and Rajesh Malla were selected to RMO2007.
One of our major goals is to inspire our students and
alumni to bring their synergy in nation building.
Rtapalli moved to its
own campus near Bhubaneswar in August
2009. The new campus is equidistant (about 10 km) from the Rabi Talkies Chhaka
and Hansapala Chhaka, Bhubaneswar.
